Is everyone still having problems with BCBS of IL to actually get a real person at 800-972-8088? I have multiple patients and can not get anyone. I call my local and they just transfer me back to the 800-972-8088 number. I enter everything its prompting me to do and still nothing. I've had to tell my patient just this and that they'll need to contact them and do a three way with me, obviously they are not happy with this. Any Help would help.
Hello, You will need to speak with provider relations about this. You can reach them by email at ProviderRelations@bcbsil.com or by calling 217-862-5410. ~ HC
I am a bcbs provider, I just added a new practice. Now my NPI number isn’t recognized by bcbsIL. Who do I talk to?
This Works!
I have already sent a private message to them and have had no response.
It is literally impossible to get a real person on the provider line. I have tried multiple phone number and spoken to 2 people who say they cannot help me and just transfer me to the same place that repeatedly says speaking to a representative is not an option. If I cannot speak to a real person regarding the patients benefits and eligibility I will have to disappoint the patient and turn them away because their insurance is no help.
I am having the same issue. I HAVE to speak to someone a real person regarding a patients benefits and eligibility and they will not transfer me to a real person despite me calling 10 times and trying different methods to get to a real person. Its extremely frustrating and if I cannot get the needed information I will not be able to help this patient.
