How to Update Your PCP or Medical Group

If you’re on an HMO plan, check your Blue Access for MembersSM (BAMSM) account to make sure your PCP or medical group selection is up-to-date.

Q. How do I change my PCP or medical group?

A. If you have an HMO plan, you can change your medical group (MG) or primary care provider (PCP) online in your BAM account.

Member ID card

To change your PCP or medical group (HMO members only), sign in to your BAM account and click on Find Care. Use our Provider Finder tool to find network provider options in your area.

Once you’re ready to make your selection, click the Change MG or Change PCP option and follow the prompts to choose your new provider. After you’re finished, we’ll update our files and send you a new member ID card with that reflects your change.

If you have any questions about changing your PCP or medical group or need help making the change, contact customer service at the number on your member ID card or through the Message Center in BAM.
