Convenient Ways to Pay Your Bill

Your payment keeps your coverage active.

  1. Each month you will receive a bill for your premium. You can continue to use your insurance as long as you keep your payments current.
  2. Make sure you pay your first premium, before you go to the doctor, fill a prescription or use any of your other plan benefits.
  3. Login to Blue Access for MembersSM (BAM) for payment options and up to date claim details.

Mail

Pay by mail with a personal check, cashier’s check or money order.

To do so, be sure you:

  • Make the check payable to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois or BCBSIL.
  • Write your account/member ID number on your check, cashier’s check or money order.
  • Include the payment coupon that was sent to you with your bill.
  • Send your payment at least 5 business days before the payment due date to make sure timely posting to your account.
