How do I enroll in a health insurance plan?

There are many ways to buy a health insurance plan. You can get one from:

The Health Insurance Marketplace
The Marketplace leaving site icon is a federal government website that helps people find health insurance. You can compare prices, benefits, out-of-pocket costs and more for plans in your area — including ones offered by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of IL (BCBSIL). Remember, open enrollment is the only time to sign up unless you have a qualifying life event.

BCBSIL Online with a Health Plan Specialist
BCBCIL makes it easy to find a plan that’s right for you. Explore our user-friendly site. Click on Individual and Family Plans to learn about gold, silver and bronze options. See which one best fits your medical needs and budget. You can sign up during annual Open Enrollment or during the Special Enrollment Period if you have a qualifying life event (get married, have a baby, change jobs). You can also call us at 877-731-4649.

View and compare all BCBSIL plans available to you — including plans on the Marketplace — to find one that’s right for you.
