Change in doctor's site

I received a letter from NorthShore University HealthSystems saying that my primary physician, in Skokie, was changing to a new "site". My doctor says he's not physically moving anywhere, that site is some form of accounting number, and I need to check with my insurance to know what it means. I believe my insurance card says my current "site" is 284. What is a site and does this matter?

Hello, The site refers to the medical group that you are assigned to. You can contact our customer service area at the number on your ID card and they can take a look at what's going on. ~ Kayla
