Change from BCBS of IL to FL?

After years of living in IL while spending my winters in FL, I'm considering a permanent move to FL. I would keep my IL bank accounts but not a residence. Would I need to change my BCBS company from IL to FL or can I leave it the way it's been? Thank you.

Good morning, This may depend on the type of plan you have. If you have an individual plan with us and decide to move to Florida permanently you would need to enroll in a Florida plan. You must be a resident of Illinois to have an Illinois plan.

If your plan is through an employer you would need to contact your benefit department to determine if you could continue your plan. ~ Kayla
