HMO - Consultation definition?

We have an HMO (Blue Cross BlueAdvantage specifically) available to us through my husband's work. It specifies co-pays for office visits but also says "consultation only". I would like to know what consultation is defined as - does this mean any office visit? More specifically does the co-pay apply to regular visits to a mental health professional?

If you have not signed up for this plan yet, I would suggest reaching out to the employer's benefit center or Human Resources department. They should be able to provide more information about the coverage of the plan. We can only provide benefits once the policy is set up. - Renee
